SRPMIC Tribal Trusts

AI-ready: Includes an optional AI teacher. Optimized for Grok; works on other AI platforms.

What a minors' per capita trust is, why the money is held and protected, and how to get ready before it becomes available. This lesson is taught in the context of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC).

What students learn

Students learn, in plain language, what per capita payments and minors’ trusts are, why young people’s shares are held in trust, and how a trust may allow limited early help for health, education, and welfare needs. They learn about common approaches at adulthood, such as payments spread out over time, and that payouts can be taxable. Most of all, they make a plan: use a bank account, practice a budget, finish school, and ask the right offices how their own trust works, so the money becomes a tool for their goals. This lesson is education, not individual legal or tax advice.
